Tomorrow when the war began

22.08.18
Chapter 12:

1. “They say teenagers can sleep all day”. Is this true? Do you agree? Does Ellie still see herself as a typical teenager?'
I think it is true because like that's the kind of typical lifestyle Ellie can relate too.

2.  Ellie’s dream at the beginning of the chapter is rather nonsensical, as dreams are wont to be. Is there any meaning to it? Try and explain what Ellie’s subconscious could be thinking about: why is her dad cooking for the whole town? Why did Father Cronin ignore Ellie’s greeting?
Why was Corrie 8 years old again? Why were they sailing off on a boat? Why was Lee undressing?
Ellie's dream might be telling her that maybe her dad is cooking for the town and the people who are locked up with him. I think Father Cronin ignored Ellie because she sinned.
To get away from everything that is happening.

Ellie's dream is probably letting her know that she has some feelings for Lee because she dreamt about him in a sexual way with him undressed.

3. Why is it so terrible that Chris falls asleep while on sentry duty? How does Ellie react? Why do you think she reacts this way? How does she feel about her reaction later?

They didn't know when someone comes to the show like one of the soldiers, then they will be in trouble. She reacted by screaming and getting angry at Chris. She reacted this way because she worries about her friends and everyone there. She felt bad since she said a lot of bad things to him which can make him feel bad.

   4. Back in Hell, Ellie’s dreams are far more ominous. Explain why Ellie is dreaming of her fears.

She mostly like fears that something could possibly happen if they don't do anything to soldiers or invaders.
