Example
Establishing shot.
An establishing shot is usually the first shot of a new scene, designed to show the audience where the action is taking place. It is usually a very wide shot or extreme wide shot.

Extreme Long shot.
a view of a scene that is shot from a considerable distance.

Long shot.
A shot that typically shows the entire object or body figure.

Mid-Shot
a shot taken at a medium distance

Close-up
A shot that is very near to the person or object.

Extreme close-up.
The shot is so tight that only a detail of the subject, such as someone's eyes, can be seen.

POV shot
A shot that’s taken in first person

Over the shoulder shot
is a shot of someone or something taken from the perspective or camera angle from the shoulder of another person.

Birds eye view
View of an object from above

Low angle shot.
Photograph or film sequence taken from below the subject.

High angle shot
camera looks down on the subject from a high angle and the point of focus often gets "swallowed up."

Tracking shot
A tracking shot is any shot where the camera moves alongside the object(s) it is recording

Panning shot
A panning shot is tilting the camera as a panorama to get the entire shot.

Zoom shot
Where it is zoomed in and only focused on 1 thing.

Fade shot



A shot that is used to transition to another scene.

Wipe shot
A wipe shot is similar to a fade shot but it wipes.
